Ghost Ship
Ghost Fleet of Mallows Bay (Indian Head, MD). This afternoon we paddled amongst the remains of over a hundred sunken ships. Most of the vessels are the product of the massive WWI ship-building effort, but there are others dating back as early as the Revolutionary War. It is the largest ship graveyard in the western hemisphere. The wrecked fleet has since become a micro-environment, providing refuge to a diversity of wildlife. This is an HDR image of one of the ships.
