A several minutes exposure, taken at West Virginia's Lindy Point. This location has been photographed so many times, as it should be -- it's amazing. But I try to get captures here that are somehow a bit different.
An image made during last year's West Virginia Highlands Spring Workshop, but only processed today, this is the Dolly Sods Wilderness at Bear Rocks. A pretty heavy storm had rolled through just before sunset and the western skies cleared just in time, providing some pretty incredible light. Double rainbow and Mountain Laurel in bloom as a bonus.
The mountains of West Virginia have been getting lots of rain lately. Last Friday night a big storm rolled through and dumped a lot of rain on an already wet landscape. Shays Run, which tumbles almost straight down into the Blackwater Canyon, was higher than I've ever seen it. This is an image of the second falls of Shays Run.
