A favorite tree of mine, it stands in the middle of a large farm field and greets you as you enter Poolesville from the east.

The Muddy Branch Tree
If you live in Gaithersburg MD you may have seen this gorgeous old (oak?) tree. It's isolated in a large field and serves as an oasis of an earlier time in the midst of urban sprawl.
