Post Storm Sunsets...some of the best. Heavy storms rolled through the DC area in the early evening. About 15 minutes before sunset I stood at Great Falls in a beautiful, warm rain, wondering if the western sky would clear enough to add color to the interesting textures of storm clouds. It all came together and made for a stunning sunset, complete with a light fog hanging over the river.
First weekend in October and the WV Highlands are already just past peak color. Sun came through the clouds in between snow showers on this evening in Dolly Sods Wilderness (that's Canaan Valley in the distance).
To help celebrate the 2013 Potomac Whitewater Festival I designed a poster with some of my favorite Great Falls images. Please contact me for information on purchasing. 24x18" and printed on quality photo paper.
